Breaking News! Hot off one of our most successful in-store listening party events for his new album, Andy Shauf himself will grace the Grimey's stage for a free, all ages in-store solo live performance this coming Monday, February 10th, at 6PM!
Andy Shauf is becoming one of the most important songwriters of his generation. His songs are tuneful vignettes of small moments and big hearts. On The Neon Skyline, Shauf intertwines stories of a group of friends who frequent a local dive bar, and through them, makes poignant observations about human nature with a novelist's detail and melancholic humor. The songwriting is down to earth, yet sophisticated and inventively melodic. The Neon Skyline is a creative leap for this already acclaimed artist.
Pick up your copy of Neon Skyline now, either online or in person at Grimey's, to receive your wristband to go through the signing line following Andy's performance and get your copy of his new album signed! If you already purchased Neon Skyline at Grimey's, bring your copy with you and check in with a helpful Grimey's staffer and we'll hook you up with a wristband. Andy Shauf will play a SOLD OUT show at Exit/In the evening following his in-store, on Tuesday, February 11th. We'll be giving away a pair of tickets to his show to one lucky in-store attendee.
We love having a ton of folks join us for in-store performances but we only have limited parking available on-site. Please consider ride sharing, car pooling, biking, walking, riding a scooter, or parking at the inexpensive pay lot behind Walden Bar and Mickey's Tavern on Gallatin Road (it's a very short walk from the shop). Limited parking is also available on the residential streets near the shop, but please be mindful to not block driveways or the roadway when parking, as many of these roads are narrow and become impassable when cars line both sides of the street. We love our neighbors too and hope to keep them happy (and really don't want them to have to call the police about parking issues.)
