BOOTSY’S BACK! On Wednesday, April 16, the Music City gets funked up as the legend Bootsy Collins brings four decades of magic to lowbar, under The Basement East! The funk/jazz/hip-hop and rock pioneer has a very special Historic East Nashville visit planned, and can not wait to meet & greet his extended funk family in anticipation of his forthcoming seminal work- Album Of The Year- #1 Funkateer. This event is at lowbar, not Grimey’s! It’s FREE and open to all 21 + with valid ID.

Doors at lowbar open at 5:00 PM with Happy Hour specials at the bar and the tastiest wings on the East Side from Jaq Rabbit Slims. Starting at 6:00 they’ll be spinning Album Of The Year- #1 Funkateer for an album playback and then at 6:30, we’ll be selling copies of the album on vinyl & CD and distributing wristbands with purchase for a private Q & A with Bootsy that starts at 7:00 PM in lowbar’s Karaoke room! Then at 8:00 PM Bootsy will host a dance party with DJ Case Bloom and the Funky Good Times crew until 11:00!

Starting on Friday, 4/11, the day Bootsy’s new album drops, you can purchase a copy of Album Of The Year- #1 Funkateer on colored vinyl or CD at Grimey’s and score a wristband for Bootsy’s meet & greet at lowbar on Wednesday, April 16th. (While supplies last; wristbands are given free with in-store purchases only.) Wristbands will also be distributed free with pruchase of the new album at lowbar starting at 6:30 on Wednesday, 4/16, during the event.
