boygenius listening party

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

We hope you’ll join us in the record store on Tuesday, March 28th at 4:00 PM for a special boygenius listening party! Their debut full-length, The Record will be released on Friday, March 31st and this will be your first chance to hear the entire album (hopefully by now you’ve had a chance to check out the four singles they've dropped since the album was announced earlier this year). In addition to listening to the full record, we’ll be handing out boygenius wristbands, posters, and raffle tickets for our giveaway of special autographed posters. (Must be present to win.)

We're also going to be joined by our pals from Re:Set Nashville who will be bringing cookies to share with attendees as they spread the good word about their amazing upcoming festival. Make sure when you’re here for the listening party event that you snap a pic with our Re:SET mural on the side of the building, so you can participate in our contest & be entered to win a pair of 3-day tickets to see boygenius when they play Nashville at the Re:SET festival on Sunday, June 25th.

The Record is self-produced by boygenius—Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus—and was cut at Rick Rubin’s Malibu studio, Shangri-La. If you haven’t already, you can preorder it on vinyl and CD on our webstore or in the record shop.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend our boygenius listening party.
