The Chicago-based duo is headed to Nashville to play a SOLD OUT show with Royel Otis at Brooklyn Bowl on October 1st. We’re stoked to be able to host them at Grimey’s when they’re in town. Earlier this year Friko released Where We’ve Been, Where We Go From Here on ATO Records to much acclaim. The album is available for purchase now on vinyl and CD in the record shop and online. All who order here We’ve Been, Where We Go From Here on LP or CD at Grimey’s or from our webstore for local, instore pickup will receive a wristband for the Friko’s post performance signing. Wristbands are required for the signing for all 13+. Space is limited and wristbands guarantee entrance.
Where we’ve been, Where we go from here has catapulted Friko into the national spotlight, with glowing reviews from Pitchfork, SPIN, Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, Chicago Sun-Times, Paste, and more, along with placement on several “Best Of 2024” lists including Vulture/New York Magazine, NPR Music, A.V. Club, and Paste, who named “Where We’ve Been” as their #1 song of the year so far. The band has seen radio play on SiriusXMU, WXRT, KUTX, and more, and the album charted in the top 10 on the NACC TOP 200 College Radio chart. Prior to starting their current tour with Royel Otis, the band had a busy summer with performances at Lollapalooza, Newport Folk Festival, and Fuji Rock.
