Grimey’s is 25 years old this December. Can you believe it?! I know I can’t. From the little shack in Berry Hill to our current digs in a mid-century church in the heart of East Nashville, we’ve come a long way, baby! To celebrate, we’re throwing a little bash at the Basement East next Saturday, December 14th, and you're invited! We’re calling in some favors and asking some of our friends who’ve been in our corner throughout the years to join us to amp up the fun and, given the time of year, this will be a Christmas-themed event with some of your favorite holiday tunes in the mix, along with covers and whatever our artist friends feel like throwing in the pot. Bring your kids! This is a family-friendly event and all ages are invited.
Our band leader Jerry Pentecost and crew will fire up a few funky Booker T. & The M.G.’s sleigh riding bangers while also backing up a bunch of long time heroes and a couple of unannounced special guests!! Scheduled to appear are Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show, Langhorne Slim, Robyn Hitchcock, Tristen and Devon Gilfillian. We’ve also got Holiday Surf rock and jazzy Hawaiian fun starting things off.
We are excited that proceeds from the event will benefit Trans Aid Nashville. Hell, Santa might even make it!!!
7:30pm (Doors 6:30)
Tickets: $20 Adults / $10 kids 12 and under.
Feliz Navidad!
