The record drops the day before, Friday, 2/7, and is available to preorder on our webstore now. Because this performances coincides with our weekly BEER:30 hang, we’ll be offering free Tennessee Brew Works beers to those 21+ (with valid IDs). Beer is complimentary but we are collecting cash tips to be donated to support the good works of the folks at DRKMTTR, Nashville's enduring all-ages space, that thrives as a hub for connectivity and creative collaboration. Beyond being a music venue, DRKMTTR stands as a nexus of resilience, cultivating a dynamic community where the DIY ethos transforms into collective action. Through cross-pollination initiatives, they link artists, organize communities & the under-21 crowd, and as a 501-C3 non-profit seek the backing necessary to perpetuate their pivotal role and create a lasting influence.
Raised in the woods of a West Virginia holler and currently living here in Nashville, Gyasi (pronounced Jah-See) is an accomplished and flamboyant singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He’s bringing the fun of glitter & glam back into rock n' roll! Described by Rolling Stone magazine as “a glam rock triumph,” Gyasi delivers his second studio album, Here Comes The Good Part, on February 7th via Alive Records. The album opens a portal to a glittery and fun universe filled with infectious hooks and searing guitar riffs, featuring songs of self-transformation.
Teaming up with co-producer Bobby Holland (Maggie Rose, Sean McConnell), Gyasi expands his sound, exploring a wider palette of musical ideas. Mostly recorded with his touring band, Here Comes The Good Part also features guest appearances by drummer Daru Jones (Jack White, Pete Rock). Here Comes The Good Part is a bold exploration of theatrical rock n’ roll, through the lens of a small-town West Virginia kid seeking self-discovery.
