On Saturday, May 14th please join us to celebrate the release of award-winning Nashville journalist Marissa R. Moss’ book, Her Country! Moss will read passages from her book and be joined in conversation with creator and sometimes critic, Sarah Rodman. After their discussion, Moss will sign copies of Her Country for attendees. Musician Kelsey Waldon (Oh Boy Records) will also join us on this happy occasion to perform a special short set of songs commemorating the release of Moss’ book… After all, what better way to celebrate Her Country than to see a woman performing some country music in the record shop? Her Country is the full and unbridled inside story of the last twenty years of country music through the lens of Maren Morris, Mickey Guyton, and Kacey Musgraves―their peers and inspirations, their paths to stardom, and their battles against a deeply embedded boys’ club, as well as their efforts to transform the genre into a more inclusive place for all (and not just white men in trucker hats).
You can preorder autographed copies of Her Country in the record store or here now. Preorders will be available to pick up at our event and are available for mail order as well.
