Imagine Jodorowsky and Morricone meet up in rural Tennessee. What you'd get is Holy Mountain Top Removers - an eclectic mix of delicate melodies, spacious interludes, and crushing devastation. The Nashville band is set to release its 2nd album, Tonight The Machete Dreams, on local indie label Centripetal Force, run by WXNA DJ and host of Psych Out!, Mike Mannix. Together since their days in Hellbender, the trio of Mikey Allred (keys/bass/trombone), Edmond Villa (drums) and Anthony Ford (guitar/vocals) have developed into a band that defies categorization. Their strength is the ability to combine elements of style from a variety of genres, ranging from soundtrack-like interludes to thundering outbursts and even moments of meditative ambience. The new album also sees Holy Mountain Top Removers retire their all-instrumental approach and incorporate vocals on two tracks. Come out for a free, all ages in-store performance to celebrate the new album! Holy Mountain Top Removers will also play at Drkmttr on August 3rd.
