This has been an eventful year for James Levy, including releasing a collaboration with the late Charles Bradley, a new album called Somebody, produced by Paul Defiglia (Avett Brothers) and two singles recorded with Zuri Marley. Rolling Stone Country included NYC (feat Mickey Raphael) on its list of “10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now.” James also recorded an EP in NYC with legendary producer and songwriter Richard Gottehrer and an EP with David Ivar (Herman Dune) which will both be out in 2020. Levy worked previously with Julian Casablancas, Coldplay’s Guy Berryman and Tim Wheeler.
James, Paul Defiglia and friends will be playing songs from these releases at Grimey's— as well as signing copies of the ltd edition vinyl of the Charles Bradley recordings and a new four song vinyl EP of selections from Somebody.
