We invite you to join us at the record store on Tuesday, December 13th for a special in-store performance by Nashville's own Jillian Jacqueline! She’s celebrating the vinyl release of Honestly by playing songs from the album as well as a couple of Christmas tunes, to help us spread the word about our 2022 Holiday Toy & Gift Drive. Hailed for her "blatant honesty with unshakable optimism" (Billboard), Honestly is Jacqueline's debut album and follows her prior hits "God Bless This Mess," "Hate Me," and "Reasons." The record was co-produced with Jacqueline’s husband Bryan Brown and her brother-in-law,Tofer Brown, and it reveals her depth and craft as a songwriter. Teaming up with talented performers and songwriters, Jaqueline’s album includes collaborations with Charlie Worsham (“The Ocean”), T.J. Osborne (“Better With A Broken Heart”), and Trevor Rose of Old Dominion (“Bandwagon”). She reunited with hit songwriter Lori McKenna for the album, and co-wrote songs with Shane McAnally, Daniel Tashian, Kate York and more. According to Jacqueline “after 14 years in Nashville, this is my first fully realized album, one that runs the gamut of me as a person and an artist.” We hope you’ll join us for this celebration of Jacqueline’s album and, if you can, help support Nashville families in need by donating to our toy and gift drive.
This year for our annual holiday drive we’re collecting toys and gifts for kids ages 0 to 18, in support of The Last Minute Toy Store here in Davidson County. Our drive will run from Wednesday, December 7th through Friday, December 16th, and we're collecting new + unwrapped toys and gifts for infants, toddlers, kids, tweens, and teens. Looking for suggestions? For younger kids think toys, craft kits, games, books, and bikes (+ helmets) and for teens think gadgets (bluetooth speakers, karaoke machines, headphones), tool kits, make-up kits, accessories (purses, wallets, shoulder bags), games, music, and books. We'll be delivering our donation on Saturday, 12/17.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend Jillian Jacqueline’s in-store performance.
