We hope you can join us on Saturday, March 22nd at 4:30 for an intimate instore performance with Lola Kirke! It’s a big year for Kirke, who recently published the book Wild West Village and is releasing her new record, Trailblazer on March 21st, just before her new film Sinners (Ryan Coogler) opens in theaters on April 18th. We’ll be celebrating her new record the day after it drops with Kirke when she’ll play a short set of songs in the record shop and sign copies of her new album for attendees. You can score a wristband for Kirke’s signing by preordering a copy of Trailblazer on ruby red vinyl in the record store or on our site here. Wristbands are required for those 13+ to participate in the signing and they guarantee entrance to our event. (Kids 12 & under do not need wristbands to participate.)
Trailblazer, Kirke’s thrid album, was produced and co-written by Nashville’s own Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves, Sarah Jarosz, The Bees). It features co-writes by heavy hitters like Natalie Hemby, Ashley Monroe, Jon Decious, Jason Nix, Liz Rose, Caitlin Rose, and Delaney Ramsdell. Like her new book, Kirke’s album is personal. It explores her experiences and embraces her feelings, with her authentic voice ringing through.
We’re thrilled to be able to welcome Trailblazer into the world with Kirke and all of you! Preorder your copy of the new album on our site now or pick up your copy in the shop on the 22nd and get it signed by Kirke! When you’re here make sure to snap a with with our lovely new Lola Kirke mural, painted on the side of our building by Chloe Tyler. And because Kirke’s performance coincides with our weekly BEER:30 hang, we’ll be offering free Tennessee Brew Works beers to those 21+ (with valid IDs), woo hoo!
A note on BEER:30 - Beer is complimentary but we are collecting cash tips to be donated to support the good works of the folks at DRKMTTR, Nashville's enduring all-ages space, that thrives as a hub for connectivity and creative collaboration. Beyond being a music venue, DRKMTTR stands as a nexus of resilience, cultivating a dynamic community where the DIY ethos transforms into collective action. Through cross-pollination initiatives, they link artists, organize communities & the under-21 crowd, and as a 501-C3 non-profit seek the backing necessary to perpetuate their pivotal role and create a lasting influence.
