We're very excited to welcome The Lone Bellow back to Grimey's for an in-store live performance celebrating the release of their new album Half Moon Light! The new album is out this Friday, February 7th, and The Lone Bellow will perform at Grimey's on Thursday, February 20th, at 6PM. Following the performance, the band will greet fans and sign copies of the new album.

Half Moon Light is an artistic triumph worked toward for years, earned by collective determination and natural growth. With earthy three-part harmonies and songwriting as provocative as it is honest, the trio made up of guitarist Brian Elmquist, lead vocalist Zach Williams, and multi-instrumentalist Kanene Donehey Pipkin creates sparks that make a stranger’s life matter or bring our sense of childlike wonder roaring back. On Half Moon Light, The Lone Bellow mix light and dark to muster a complex ode to memory, a call for hope, and an exercise in empathy. Anchored in the acoustic storytelling that first so endeared the band to fans and critics, the new album also takes more chances, experimenting with textures and instrumental fillips to create a full-bodied music experience. The result is The Lone Bellow’s most sophisticated work to date. Recorded with Aaron Dessner (The National) at his studio in upstate New York, Half Moon Light is out this Friday, February 7th.

Starting this Friday, purchase the vinyl or CD from Grimey's in person or online for your wristband to go through the signing line following the performance to get your record autographed! The Lone Bellow are also playing the Ryman Auditorium on Friday, April 24th, and you can enter to win a pair of tickets in the record shop or they are available for purchase online here.

We love having a ton of folks join us for in-store performances but we only have limited parking available on-site.  Please consider ride sharing, car pooling, biking, walking, riding a scooter, or parking at the inexpensive pay lot behind Walden Bar and Mickey's Tavern on Gallatin Road (it's a very short walk from the shop).  Limited parking is also available on the residential streets near the shop, but please be mindful to not block driveways or the roadway when parking, as many of these roads are narrow and become impassable when cars line both sides of the street.  We love our neighbors too and hope to keep them happy (and really don't want them to have to call the police about parking issues.)
