Lukas Nelson In-Store Performance, Album Signing and Record Release Celebration

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

*Please note the new time! for our event.* We hope you can join us for a special in-store performance with Lukas Nelson on Friday, July 14th at 1:00 PM to celebrate the release of his new album, Sticks and Stones. He'’ll be performing a short solo set in the record store for us and after his set, Nelson will be signing records for those in attendance. Customers who preorder the album for local pickup from Grimey’s, via our link here or in the record store, will receive a wristband for Nelson’s album signing. Wristbands are required for the signing, however those 12 and under do not need a wristband if attending with an adult who has a wristband of their own. Space is limited and wristbands guarantee entrance.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real are back with Sticks and Stones, releasing 7/14 via 6 ACE Records / Thirty Tigers. This self-produced, honest and emotional new album highlights Nelson's strength as a songwriter and the band's uncompromising commitment to clarity, compassionate tones, and exceptional melodic moments. Lyrically, Sticks and Stones spans the themes of Drinking, Heartbreak, Love, Lying, Hope, Nature, Self-Reflection, Work-Life Balance, Settling Down, Home, Time, Longing and more. We have had the pleasure of hosting Nelson once before, back when the shop was located on 8th Avenue South and fondly remember his performance. We cannot wait to host him at our current location. Nelson is a fantastic musician and a very nice guy; we hope you’ll be here to enjoy this celebration with us!

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend Lukas Nelson’s record release celebration.
