We’re excited to host Maggie Rose for a special No One Gets Out Alive record release celebration featuring a performance & album signing in the record shop on Saturday, April 6th! Our event kicks off at 4:00 PM when Maggie will perform a short set of songs from her new album, to be followed by an album signing. No One Gets Out Alive is due out 4/5 and is available to preorder in the record store and on our site here on limited edition colored Vinyl and on CD. Preorders for local, store pickup include a wristband guaranteeing entrance to her 4/6 in-store performance & signing event. (Kids 12 & under do not need a wristband.) We are really looking forward to celebrating Maggie’s new album with her and hope you’ll be able to join in on the fun.
Maggie Rose has been making records and writing songs in Nashville since 2008. She’s shared the stage with an impressive array of artists including Kelly Clarkson, Heart, Joan Jett, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and Fitz & The Tantrums, to name a few, and earned her reputation as a charismatic, dynamic live performer at countless marquis festivals including Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and Newport Folk Fest among others. We had the pleasure of hosting Maggie Rose for an in-store performance in late 2018, shortly after our move to the East Side, and we are thrilled to be able to host her again, this time in celebration of No One Gets Out Alive. Her new album was recorded with GRAMMY-Award winning producer Ben Tanner and features members of Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit, Alabama Shakes and Gregg Allman’s Band. We can’t wait to hear this album, let alone see songs from it performed in the record shop!
We’re so excited to be able to host Maggie and hope you’ll be able to join us. Preordered copies of No One Gets Out Alive can be picked up in the store starting on release day, 4/5, at 11:00 AM, when we open. Wristbands will be distributed with album pickup and are non-transferable. For additional information about our No One Gets Out Alive preorder, please visit our preorder page here or reach out to us in the shop.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION!
Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. Another parking option is the pay lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's off Gallatin Road, two blocks down the street. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police calls, and towing. An officer who lives in the neighborhood across the street and was blocked by event attendees 3 times last year. We don’t want to anger or disrespect any of our neighbors, especially not that one. If you block driveways or park illegally you will be towed.
Please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend this Grimey’s event.
