OTTTO In-Store Performance & Record Release Celebration

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

We’re stoked to announce a live in-store performance by thrash metal trio Ottto, in celebration of the release of their full-length debut LP, Life Is A Game. The band will rock the Grimey’s stage at 5PM on Thursday, March 23rd. The new album isn’t officially out until the next day - Friday, March 24th, but we’ll have copies on hand so not only do you get a free show, you can get the record early as well! Ottto will greet fans and sign records following their performance.

From the streets of Venice Beach CA, come Ottto, the electric eclectic funk-punk-rock stew who release their first full-length studio album Life Is A Game on March 24th, 2023. Bassist Tye Trujillo, lead vocalist/guitar Bryan Noah Ferretti, and drummer Triko Chavez spill their aggressive groove-centric vibe throughout the 10-track, Tim Harkins (Korn, Jerry Cantrell) produced album, as Ottto lead the charge on a full-tilt Old School giant riff revival with pride and raw, unfettered passion.

Double-stuffed with melody, Ottto throw it all down within a potent DIY punk attitude, infused with plenty of alternative chemical imbalance! "My Pain", "Skyscraper" and the ultra-dynamic "Night Howlers" are loaded with the sort of grease, grime, and funkified riffage that can only come from the hearts and minds of unpasteurized, raw warriors. If Life Is A Game then Ottto are going at it hard, fast, and without any traditional rules.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend Ottto’s vinyl release celebration.
