We're very excited to be celebrating Record Store Day with you in person this year! On Saturday, April 23rd Grimey's will open at 10:00 AM (one hour early) and we'll be offering all of our Record Store Day exclusives to customers at the rear entrance of our building (directly across from Anaconda Vintage). We'd love to see folks who line up that morning cue up on the lawn to the right of the shop, just in front of our neighbors Living Waters Brewing. Our pals Golly G's Food Truck will be set up early for your sweet morning snack needs.
At 10:00 AM we'll open the store for the day and will begin selling RSD exclusives to those in line. Anyone can enter the store to shop, but in order to purchase RSD exclusives, customers will need to wait in the special RSD line. There we'll provide customers with "menus" that list all the RSD titles we receive. Customers can then use dry erase markers to note which titles they would like to purchase, and then they'll hand those menus back to us. We'll gather up your RSD exclusives and then ring you up and send you on your way!
Once we no longer have a wait to purchase RSD exclusives, we'll take a brief break, where we pause sales of those items, quickly display them in our downstairs book area, and we will then make them available for customer browsing. Show up early if you know what Record Store Day exclusives you want and it's a priority for you to get specific titles. Show up a bit later if you want to flip through the RSD exclusive records and chose from the many cool releases available. It's Record Store Day all day, so we'll be here-you just come by when it's good for you! Cabin Attic Burgers food truck will be on hand serving food during the afternoon and maybe it'll be time for a cold one at Living Waters Brewing around then too....
A few notes on Record Store Day at Grimey's:
- All Record Store Day exclusive releases are limited to one (1) per title per person.
- There are no holds or preorders for RSD releases.
- We cannot offer phone orders or mail orders for 2022 RSD exclusives.
- There is a limit of one dozen (12) RSD titles per transaction. If you would like to purchase more than 12 RSD titles, please hop back in line and ride again!
- As we sell out of titles we will "86" them on our large dry erase board.
- TAYLOR SWIFT WILL NOT BE AT GRIMEY’S FOR RECORD STORE DAY.

- Some titles originally slated to be released on April 23rd for Record Store Day have been bumped and will instead be released on Saturday, June 18th for RSD Drops. All RSD exclusive titles released that day will be limited just like the ones released in April.
RSD PARKING PRO TIPS
- IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to Record Store Day this year.
