We’re gearing up for Record Store Day presents Black Friday, happening Friday, November 24th! We’ll be opening an hour early at 10:00 AM and will be offering all of the RSD Black Friday 20223 exclusives in addition to all of the other new releases out that day. We’re especially excited about two (!!) Live at Grimey’s releases coming out for Black Friday—Margo Price’s Strays (Live at Grimey’s) recorded at her January 2023 in-store performance celebrating the release of Strays, and the reissue of the long out of print Justin Townes Earle’s long out of print Live at Grimey’s album recorded at our old 8th Avenue South location in 2014 around the release of Single Mothers. If you haven’t had a chance to look it over yet, check out the complete list of RSD Black Friday 2023 exclusive releases on the Record Store Day site.

Customers who arrive early on Friday morning should form a line for RSD Black Friday shopping in the lawn in front of our neighbors, Living Waters Brewing, and this line should wrap around their lawn. Look for the RSD Black Friday sign for where the line should begin.

Just before 10:00 AM on Friday morning a Grimey’s Staff member will move the line from the Living Waters lawn over to the Grimey’s back entrance (across from Anaconda Vintage).

We’ll initially be selling RSD Black Friday exclusives downstairs in the shop and customers will enter from our back entrance to have access to these titles. After purchasing your Black Friday titles you’re welcome to go browse around in the shop upstairs too. Once the line to shop RSD Black Friday exclusives has dissipated, we’ll re-stage the records on the stage upstairs. As always, RSD Black Fridays exclusives are limited to one per title, per customer, and are not able to be held or mail ordered (until after the holiday weekend). If you are only interested in regular store browsing please use the main Grimey’s entrance facing Trinity Lane.
