We hope you’ll join us on Wednesday, June 7th at 4:00 PM for a special listening party for Jason Isbell’s latest, Weathervanes. The self-produced album was recorded with his longtime band, The 400 Unit, at Blackbird Studio here in Nashville. It’s Jason’s eighth full-length album and only his second self-produced recording. Weathervanes is due out Friday, June 9th via Southeastern Records and it is available to preorder in the record store and on our site here.
At our event we’ll be spinning Weathervanes in full and distributing special Listening Party Wristbands and lenticular postcards (while supplies last). We’ll start handing out party supplies at 3:45. We’ll also be passing out free raffle tickets for a grand prize giveaway—an autographed Weathervanes print, a limited edition cassette, slipmat, enamel Weathervanes pin, t-shirt and a pair of tickets to see the band at an upcoming show! (No purchase necessary, must be present to win.) Plus there will be a special announcement you won't want to miss at the end of our event, so be sure to stick around...and pro tip: bring cash!! All listening party materials and giveaway entries are limited to one per person (in person only). This is a free and all ages event, so come one, come all!
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend our Weathervanes Listening Party.
