Accept - Humanoid LP/CD (Napalm)

Accept, long-standing legendary German titans of heavy metal, are back with a fiercely awaited new studio album. Alien Ant Farm - mAantras LP (MRI Associated)

 Alien Ant Farm Mantras (styled as -mAntras-) is the new, sixth studio album by American rock band Alien Ant Farm. It is their first studio album in 9 years, since Always and Forever in 2015.

Oren Ambarchi / Jonah Berthling / Andreas Werliin - Ghosted II LP (Drag City)

Ambarchi, Berthling and Werliin make for an utterly unique guitar/bass/drums triad: the guitar sounds like anything but a guitar; bass and drums simultaneously insistent and relaxed. On this much-desired sequel to their acclaimed 2022 debut, their unique telepathic group-think (re)opens the window to fresh acres of fusion, where funk-jazz heads, polyrhythmic skeletons, ambient pastorals, post-kraut drones and shimmering soundtrack reveries dance immortal. Black Tusk - The Way Forward LP/CD (Season of Mist)

Black Tusk go way back. Guitarist Andrew Fidler and drummer James May both grew up down in the swamps of Savannah, Georgia, where they've been banging heads together for the past 19 years. While often mentioned in the same weed-infused breath as Baroness and Kylesa, Black Tusk are a different beast. These swamp monsters have never strayed far from their roots in metal, sludge and punk, though their previous album found them fighting just to stay afloat after bassist Jonathan Athon's passing. 'The Way Forward' is just that. This album charges straight-on behind their new lineup, which includes former collaborators Chris "Scary" Adams on guitars, and Derek Lynch on bass. Together, they clear a path into the future by relying more on what Black Tusk does best. 

Aziza Brahim - Mawja LP (Glitterbeat)

Sahrawi singer-songwriter activist Aziza Brahim's fifth album Mawja ("wave" in Hassaniya Arabic) is fashioned from a simple but powerful foundational palette: Saharan and Iberian percussion entwining with stately guitars and warm, enveloping bass. Co-produced by Brahim with long-time collaborator Guillem Aguilar, the record from her oeuvre that Mawja most sonically resembles is her revered and graceful debut Soutak. But there is also a confident eclecticism found here, an expansive take on her vision that even includes a drum pattern inspired by the Clash. Brahim's voice, as always, is a wellspring of deep and resonant emotions. The yearning for homeland. The struggle for freedom. The love for one's elders. The unfurling of time.

Ana Lua Caiano - Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado LP (Glitterbeat)

Ana Lua Caiano's debut album melds rural Portuguese music traditions with layered vocals, synthesizers, insistent beats and field recordings. Her music is visceral and tightly focused pulling from a rich mosaic of influences that includes traditional group singing, musique concrete, songwriters from Portugal's '70s revolutionary period and electronic icons like Bjork and Laurie Anderson. Pulsing, glitchy, atmospheric and beat driven but with roots deep in the traditional Portuguese music her parents listened to when she was a child.

Joh Chase - Solo LP/CD (Kill Rock Stars)

Career trajectories are rarely linear or make logical sense. Life is always unpredictable so all you can do is put in good work and keep at it. Joh Chase is a testament to this. Over the past two decades, the Seattle-raised, Los Angeles-based artist has persistently honed their songwriting and toured, opening for acts like Noah Gunderson and David Bazan. This dedication comes out entirely in their songs, which are so timeless, confident, and inviting they can only come from someone who’s devoted their whole life to their craft. Chase’s new album SOLO feels like a turning point for them: it’s the culmination of a lifetime of writing, losing, loving, and doing it all yourself. The LP adventurously toes the line between genres and sensibilities but it’s all filtered through Chase’s charming and fully-formed vision.

Charley Crockett - $10 Cowboy LP/CD (Son of Davy)

With $10 Cowboy, Charley Crockett didn't set out to make a themed record. He had released a concept album in 2022, the critically acclaimed Man From Waco, propelling Crockett to new heights and establishing him as one of the leaders of a sparkling revival of traditional country and folk music. - For the follow up album, Crockett wrote freely, over a two-month period, as he wound his way across the United States on the back of a tour bus. The resulting songs-raw, personal, vivid portraits of a country in transition-ended up being connected after all. The album was recorded at Arlyn Studios in Austin, produced by Crockett and his long-time collaborator Billy Horton. It was recorded live to tape, with anywhere from 6-12 musicians and backup singers on each track, giving the songs the feel of a live performance. It's a sound Crockett has been after for years. "Reason I cut it on tape is because when you got the right people in the room, and the great players rise to the occasion when that red light is on and the tape is rolling, you get the magic of a great performance." Darkthrone - It Beckons Us All LP (Peaceville)

With a legacy of audial treasures now spanning more than 35 years & with the fountain of creativity ever flowing, Norway's Darkthrone return with their latest venture through classic riffs & vintage sounding metal in the shape of the epic new seven track studio opus, 'It Beckons Us All'. Full of Hell - Coagulated Bliss LP/CD (Closed Casket)

Coagulated Bliss was recorded at Developing Nations in Baltimore by Kevin Bernstein, mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio in Van Nuys California and mastered by Nick Townsend of Infrasonic Sound in Los Angeles California. Full of Hell is Spencer Hazard (guitar/electronics), David Bland (drums/vocals), Samuel DiGristine (bass/sax/vocals), and Dylan Walker (vocals/electronics/lyrics), with new guitarist Gabriel Solomon joining following the album's completion.

Glassing - From the Other Side of the Mirror LP/CD (Pelagic Records)

Cris Jacobs - One of These Days LP/CD (Cris Jacobs)

For his first album in five years, Baltimore native Cris Jacobs brought in a slew of guests to help lay down his blend of Bluegrass, folk, and blues, including Jerry Douglas (who also produced the record), Lee Ann Womack, Billy Strings, Sam Bush, Lindsay Lou, and The McCrary Sisters. He also pulled in members of The Infamous Stringdusters to serve as his backing band. The result is a compelling, collaborative effort that plays out like a hootenanny. The tracks were all recorded live, which helped to solidify that impromptu vibe.

Tori Kelly - Tori. LP (Epic)

The two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning and multi-platinum artist returns with her first album on Epic Records, TORI.. The 15 track release features songs from her 2023 digital EP along with the hit single "high water" and much more. [Limited edition lavender color vinyl.]

Loren Kramer - Glovemaker LP (Bwscd Inc)

If the Chateau Marmont could sing. This would be it. Loren Kramar’s voice vibrates with the shameless hum of a room after a celebrity exits. Ecstatic aspiration. Doubt. Proximity. Desire. Lost Dog Street Band - Survived LP/CD (Lost Dog Street Band)

After dark country trio Lost Dog Street Band released its 2022 album Glory, bandleader Benjamin Tod decided it was time to retire the project. Tod, alongside his wife Ashley Mae (fiddle), had been working together as a band since 2011. But just a month after recording a solo project in January of 2023, Tod felt an urge to revisit the project one more time. "I thought I was done with Lost Dog, but after recording my solo album, I looked over all the songs that I had ready for a new record. These were songs for my band. I had to admit to myself that I wasn't done with Lost Dog." Though there was heartbreak at the prospect of the project coming to an end, its resurrection has meant all the more in this new context. "Benjamin and I, both individually and together, have been through some professionally grinding and demoralizing personal times over the past five years," Ashley Mae explains. "To take a step back from that over the past year and realize, 'Wow, we held it down and withstood that, and we survived that,' was a really good, bright, shining moment. It was the high point during a demoralizing time." As such, Survived is a saving grace, a Phoenix rising from the ashes. "This record means everything," adds Tod. "It just feels like salvation."

Mariah the Scientist - To Be Eaten Alive LP (Epic)

To Be Eaten Alive is Mariah the Scientist's third studio release which features stand out tracks "From A Woman," "Bout Mine," and "Different Pages." The album features appearances from 21 Savage, Young Thug and Vory. This limited-edition LP is pressed on a "burnt sky" color vinyl.

Microwave - Let’s Start Degeneracy LP/CD (Pure Noise)

The fourth full-length record from Atlanta's Microwave is a trip. It all begins with the misty synth strikes and cosmic transmission warbles of "Portals," before hazy, dripping-wet guitar chords settle in. The song, an adaptation of the traditional Christian hymn "Softly and Tenderly," is true to it's new name, as liminal and fleeting as it is gripping and emotional. It's an enormous, gentle, enveloping introduction to what will be explored: life and death, happiness and freedom, the real and unreal. This is Let's Start Degeneracy, the long-awaited new album from Microwave. The record's title, taken from a conservative politician's take on drugs in 1970, captures this liberated spirit. There are no rules, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. "It's about letting go of attachments and behaviors that aren't serving you, and trying to shake off your programming and not be motivated by fear and guilt and shame," says Hardy.

Mark & Maggie O’Connor - Life After Life LP/CD (Omac Records)

Mark and Maggie O'Connor: A product of America's rich aural folk tradition as well as classical music, the O'Connor's creative journey began at the feet of a pair of musical giants. The first was the folk fiddler and innovator who created the modern era of American fiddling, Benny Thomasson; the second, French jazz violinist, considered one of the greatest improvisers in the history of the violin, Stephane Grappelli. Along the way, between these marvelous musical extremes, Mark O'Connor absorbed knowledge and influence from the multitude of musical styles and genres he studied. Now, at age 54, he has melded and shaped these influences into a new American Classical music, and a vision of an entirely American school of string playing. As The Los Angeles Times recently noted, he has "crossed over so many boundaries, that his style is purely personal."

Owen - The Falls of Sioux LP/CD (Polyvinyl)

Pet Shop Boys - Nonetheless LP/CD/Blu-Ray (Parlophone)

Nonetheless is the duo's first with producer James Ford, who has previously worked with artists including Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Blur, Gorillaz and Simian Mobile Disco. The album also sees the duo return to Parlophone, the label which released their iconic and massively successful material spanning 1985 - 2012 'Nonetheless' features 10 brand new tracks, recorded and mixed in London last year, primarily at James Ford's studio in East London. Pigeons Playing Ping Pong - Day In Time LP (No Coincidence)

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, a veritable tour de force known for turning heads coast-to-coast with their high-octane live concerts, not only grabs life by the horns, but they harness it's energy within their hypnotic hybrid of funk, rock and psychedelic groove. Porij - Teething LP (Harmonia Mundi)

Porij have endured the sharp pains of self-discovery. Every raw nerve, bloody scrape and sprain, have been necessary for that unavoidable thing we must grit our teeth and bare: growing up. Their debut album Teething is both a coming-of-age story and a bottling of the particular magic that is unmistakably - and definitively - Porij. Since the beginning, they have self-produced, self-mixed and entirely self-made their music. Audrey Powne - From the Fire LP (BBE)

Indeed it is Roy Hargrove's studio techniques evident in his work with the RH Factor that Audrey credits as a major factor in her producer role here. As well as her solo work, Melbourne born Audrey Powne has also worked as a session player with acts as diverse as Maceo Parker, Midnight Oil, Jimmy Barnes, Masta Ace and the Grammy nominated band The Teskey Brothers. With testimonies and positive reviews from Gilles Peterson, Earmilk, Bandcamp Daily, tracks on the Sunny Side Up compilation and performances on Boiler Room Audrey Powne is a supreme talent whose star is on the rise. From The Fire is destined to become a future classic.

Six Organs of Admittance - Time Is Glass LP/CD (Drag City)

Once again, Six Organs of Admittance showcases the intricate tangle of fingers on the fretboard and flash of lens flare slicing the air, as the future arcs 360 degrees around to become a part of the past as well. Oscillations in this glass bowl ripple outward eternally, but are rooted on the ground where all the creatures are moving and communing; humans too. An intimate cosmic expression, file under: rural-industrial psych, ecosystem goth.

Eric Slick - New Age Rage LP/CD (Slick Records)

On the surface, Eric Slick's new LP New Age Rage is a dance record. Further listening reveals that it's also a statement about our harrowing future - AI, self-driving cars, Twitter rage, mass media manipulation, and ultimately, the sin of perfectionism. It's sonically influenced by the work of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Talking Heads, Kraftwerk, Todd Rundgren, Prince, The Residents, and DEVO. Big Sugar's well-known record '500 Pounds,' first released in the U.S. in 1995, stands as a defining masterpiece in their discography. Guitarist Grant Green joins organist Gloria Coleman and drummer Pola Roberts on this satisfying and soulful album, unique in the Impulse catalog. Produced by Bob Thiele, recorded by Rudy Van Gelder, and originally released in 1963.

Dan + Shay - Where It All Began LP (Warner Records Nashville)

Dan + Shay release their debut album on vinyl for the first time in celebration of the 10-year anniversary. Featuring platinum singles "19 You + Me" and " Nothin' Like You".

Dead Boys - Return of the Living Dead Boys: Halloween Night 1986 LP (Cleopatra)

The reunion concert that brought New York to it's knees in 1986 - the original Dead Boys, Stiv Bators, Cheetah Chrome, Jimmy Zero, Jeff Magnum and Johnny Blitz on stage at the Ritz! The band got together for one more show in thir old stomping ground, starting wih an introduction from long-time supporter, Joey Ramone, to the power riff of "Sonic Reducer" (played twice!) to an unreal cover of The Stooges' "Search & Destroy!" [Limited edition orange vinyl.]

Def Leppard - Pyromania 40th Anniversary Edition LP/2xLP/2xCD (Mercury)

Def Leppard's 40th anniversary reissue of Pyromania has been expanded to a 2-LP set on 180g black vinyl with unheard demos and live tracks from the era. Lonnie Smith - Afro-Desia LP/CD (Mr. Bongo)

Originally released in 1975, this much-loved album was produced by Groove Merchant label owner Sonny Lester and features the mysterious 'Compliments Of A Friend' on guitar. Considering Smith was part of George Benson's quartet in the '60s, that not so discreet veil appears to have been lifted on who this 'friend' might be. However, presumably due to contractual reasons, Benson had to remain covert for this recording. The lineup doesn't stop there though, with the likes of legendary bassist Ron Carter and Grammy award winning saxophonist Joe Lavano joining the outfit.

Stars - Heart LP (Last Gang Records)

Stars' breakthrough sophomore album Heart was recorded in the bedroom of keyboard player Chris Seligman on Avenue Mont-Royal in Montreal and released in 2003. A description at the time pinned the band as more New Order and Saint Etienne than Smiths, and with male and female vocals, the band comes across as an electro-pop Belle & Sebastian. The New York Times praised the album as: "Lovely. Romantic. Devastating... words often used to describe the soothing sounds of Stars.
