On December 30th, 2018, Blackfoot Gypsies recorded a live show at The Basement in Nashville, TN. Now, in celebration of their 10 year anniversary as a band, they are releasing the show as Blackfoot Gypsies Live At The Basement! Beginning as a duo in 2010 when Oregon native, guitarist, and singer Matthew Paige moved to Nashville and hooked up with drummer and Music City native Zack Murphy, the pair self-released two EPs and hit the road. "There's really only so much you can do with a two-piece," Murphy says. "You have to do everything in extreme. I think we were too much for some people -- just a violent onslaught of noise." They soon completed their expanded line-up when bass player Dylan Whitlow and harmonica master extraordinaire Ollie Dogg arrived within weeks of each other. Full length debut album To The Top followed and Blackfoot Gypsies developed a rep as an outstanding and raucous live act, which is now documented for posterity on the new live LP. We're stoked to welcome Blackfoot Gypsies back to Grimey's for their first in-store performance at our new digs on Saturday, January 11th, at 5PM.
