Mature, pop-oriented R&B is the primary mode of Reginald Lamar Williams, Jr., a Nashville, Tennessee-based native of Florida who goes by R.LUM.R. Williams made strides in 2015 with two atmospheric yet rhythmic ballads he self-released as singles. Additional tracks followed in 2016, including the viral track that brought him to the attention of the major labels. Williams issued "Frustrated," easily his most popular song to that point, which racked up millions of plays on streaming services. Follow up singles like "Be Honest", "Tell Me" and "Love Less" kept the momentum going and now R.LUM.R. has released his debut album for major label Island Records. The album is called Surfacing and it includes current hit "How It Feels." We're stoked to have R.LUM.R. join us at Grimey's on the day his album is released on vinyl - Friday, January 10th, at 6PM. The live performance will be followed by an autograph signing. You can go ahead and preorder Surfacing on vinyl on our preorders page to secure your wristband to go through the signing line following the performance. Also, R.LUM.R will be playing at The Basement East on Thursday, February 20th. Tickets for that are available online now.
