We hope you can join us for a special in-store performance & record release celebration in honor of Unincorporated, the new album by El Dorodo! The band will be in the house on release day, playing songs from their new record and then signing copies of the vinyl for those in attendance. While our event itself is free & all ages, preorders are required for a wristband to participate in the album signing. (One album preordered = one wristband, two albums preordered = two wristbands; children 12 and under do not require a wristband to participate as long as they’re accompanied by an adult with a wristband.) A lot can be said about El Dorodo that hasn’t been said before, such as, "Oh wait, they are the backing for Tyler Childers? No, they are far more." We can talk about their beginnings, their roots, their lineage and their heritage, but that does not even begin to scratch the surface that is the iceberg of El Dorodo. Before the age of woefully crafted template songs that littered radio all across America, there was an age of radio and song craft that spoke to everyone on a common level. These words tell stories — stories of heartache, stories of past good times…but mostly heartache. A universal understanding of the human emotion coupled with every great sound that music has to offer, all in one place. El Dorodo is all of these things and all of these things are Country music.
El Dorodo appreciates, respects and loves all types of “good” music. You may hear aspects of these different genres represented in their music.They are, after all, fans first. Their hearts lie in Country/Western/Old Time music and culture. And they aim to represent true, honest Country music to be consumed by the masses and they do so with full hearts. El Dorodo’s aim is to get back to the basics of love…El Dorodo IS country music.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend our El Dorodo record release celebration.
