Jason Isbell will release his new solo acoustic album Foxes in the Snow on Friday March 7th and on Friday March 7th, Jason Isbell will be playing at Grimey’s!
We’re thrilled to welcome Jason back to the record store and to continue our tradition of celebrating his new albums with him and all of you! On this special occasion Jason will be performing a short set of songs from his new album and he’ll be signing copies of Foxes in the Snow for event attendees. You can read more about the album and our promotion on our site here, where you can also place your preorder for a copy of Foxes in the Snow on limited edition colored vinyl and CD, both of which come with a signing wristband. All who preorder the album for local, store pickup will receive a wristband for Jason’s album signing. Wristbands are required for the signing and guarantee entrance to our event. Like space in the record store, wristbands are extremely limited. (Wristbands are not required for children ages 12 & under attending with a wristband-holding adult..) We’re also pleased to announce that we’re partnering with our friends at The Fox Bar for the first time to bring you a very special promotion involving tasty beverages and the chance to win free concert tickets. Last fall Jason Isbell momentarily stepped away from his longtime bandmates The 400 Unit to write and record a stripped down acoustic record on his own. Foxes in the Snow came to life in a short five-day recording session at Electric Ladyland Studios in New York. Written and performed on his 1940 acoustic Martin 0-17, the album is an intimate affair. Jason is out on the road right now performing several weeks worth of solo gigs in support of the album. His tour will bring him to Nashville’s newest venue, The Pinnacle, for a string of shows March 20th, 21st, 22nd and 28th. After his solo tour wraps March 29th, he’ll head back out with The 400 Unit, first to play Austin City Limits Live, and then to tour much of the US. We’re beyond happy that with his busy schedule he’s able to squeeze in a stop at Grimey’s on March 7th, the day Foxes in the Snow is released.
Preorder your a copy of Foxes in the Snow from our site while supplies last to score a wristband to participate in Jason’s album signing and that guarantees your access to our event. Preorders are limited to two per person / household and Jason will sign up to two copies of his new album for attendees. This is an in person signing event only and wristbands are non-transferable. The first 50 people to pick up their preorders will also receive a special postcard that they can redeem at The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club, (located at 2905B Gallatin Pike, East Nashville, 37216, right around the corner from Grimey’s). Postcards may be redeemed from March 7th - 17th for a Foxes in the Snow mocktail and the chance to enter-to-win a pair of tickets to one of Jason's Nashville shows at The Pinnacle. (One postcard per customer / order; These are available on a first come, first served basis.)
