Josh Ritter In-Store Performance, Album Signing and Record Release Celebration

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

UPDATE! Preorders for Josh Ritter’s Spectral Lines are currently available in person at Grimey’s—we’ve taken them off our site because our event with Josh is today, Thursday, 4/27. Please call if you have any questions about this and otherwise, just pop by the shop in advance of his in-store performance at 5:00 PM today.

We hope you can join us for a special solo in-store performance with Josh Ritter on Thursday, April 27th at 5:00 PM to celebrate the release of his new album, Spectral Lines (due out the following day via Pytheas Recordings). We’ve had the pleasure of hosting Ritter in the past and know how special his performances are—we are so excited he’s going to be in Nashville with us launch the release of Spectral Lines with an intimate event here. Customers who preorder the album for local pickup from Grimey’s, via our link here or in the record store, will also receive a wristband for Ritter’s album signing at Grimey’s on 4/27. Wristbands are required for the signing, however those 12 and under do not need a wristband if attending with an adult who has a wristband of their own. Space is limited and wristbands guarantee entrance.

One of today’s most thoughtful and prolific voices, Ritter has released ten studio albums including 2019’s widely acclaimed, Fever Breaks, of which NPR Music praised, “He remains a hydrant of ideas while embodying an endless capacity for empathy and indignation, often within a single song.” In addition to his work as a musician, Ritter is also a national best-selling author, having released two novels to date: 2011’s Bright’s Passage and 2021’s The Great Glorious Goddamn of It All, for which the film rights have recently been optioned for development.

You can preorder your copy of Ritter’s latest, Spectral Lines, on our webstore here or next time you’re in the recrod shop. Wristbands are free with preorders and are required for all (excluding those who are 12 years of age and under who are attending with an adult that has a wristband of their own.) We love Josh and are really pumped for this. We hope you can join us for this happy occasion!

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend Josh Ritter’s record release celebration.
