Formed in 2011, The Milk Carton Kids swiftly emerged as a major force in the continuing American folk tradition, blending ethereal, oscillating harmonies and intricate, inventive musicianship with a uniquely powerful brand of contemporary song craft. 2013's ANTI-debut, The Ash & Clay, became their national breakthrough, earning The Milk Carton Kids their first Grammy nomination for "Best Folk Album." A second Grammy nod for "Best American Roots Performance" followed in 2015, honoring "The City of Our Lady," from The Milk Carton Kids' acclaimed third studio album, Monterey. In June 2018, they released their fourth album titled All the Things That I Did and All the Things That I Didn't Do, which was their first album that featured a full band. Their new release is a 10-inch vinyl EP called The Only Ones, on Thirty Tigers/Milk Carton Records. Coming off the heels of their full-band album, this brings them back to their roots and the quintessential Milk Carton Kids sound. Ultimately, The Only Ones is for their fans and speaks to the core of what The Milk Carton Kids are about musically: the duo. We're stoked to welcome The Milk Carton Kids to Grimey's for their first in-store performance! The Only Ones is out December 6th on 10" vinyl and the 'Kids will perform at Grimey's on Sunday, November 24th, at 1PM. We'll have the vinyl available on that day so you get it early as well. They'll meet fans and sign records following the performance. You'll need a wristband to go through the signing line and you can lock that in by preordering the vinyl EP at Grimey's, either online or in person. Online preorders are up now and we're offering a limited quantity of the special milky clear vinyl version. Once those are gone we'll have standard black.
