Molly Tuttle In-store Performance, Album Signing & Record Release Celebration

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

We hope you can join us on Tuesday, August 15th at 4:00 PM for a special in-store performance & album signing with one of Music City’s finest, Molly Tuttle! We cannot wait to properly celebrate the recent release of Molly’s second album for Nonesuch Records, City of Gold, with her and all of you! City of Gold is available for purchase now on limited edition Baby Blue Colored Vinyl LP and CD in the record store or on our site here. All purchases made in the shop or on our site for local pickup will also include a wristband for Molly’s post-performance signing on the 15th. (Wristbands are required for the signing for those 13+. Space for our event is limited and wristbands guarantee entrance.)

2023 has been a big year for Tuttle, including not only the release of her new album with Golden Highway, but also seven (!) IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards nominations. City of Gold follows Tuttle’s acclaimed 2022 record, Crooked Tree, which won Best Bluegrass Album at the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Once again produced by Tuttle and Jerry Douglas and recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios, City of Gold was inspired by Tuttle’s constant touring with Golden Highway these past few years, as they have grown together as musicians and performers. Written by Tuttle and Ketch Secor (Old Crow Medicine Show), these 13 tracks capture the electric energy of band’s live shows by highlighting each members’ musical strengths. It’s a stellar record and we so look forward to hearing Tuttle’s songs in the intimate setting of the record shop before she embarks upon her upcoming fall tour, “Road To El Dorado” (check out a full list of tour dates on her site here.)

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend Molly Tuttle’s in-store performance.
