We hope you’ll make plans to join us on Saturday, September 16th at 1:30 PM for a special NEEDTOBREATHE in-store performance & album signing!! We’ll be celebrating the release of their new album, CAVES!! It’s their first album since 2021’s Into the Mystery and this will be the first time the band has performed at Grimey’s since they played in 2014 for Record Store Day. The band will perform a short set right at 1:30 to be followed immediately by an album signing**.
GRAMMY nominated multi-platinum band NEEDTOBREATHE are a dynamic force in rock, who have generated over one billion streams, topped several Billboard Radio, Album and Sales Charts and have sold-out arenas and amphitheaters all over the world. They’ve garnered two Billboard Music Award Nominations, and appeared on nearly every network television show including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Ellen, The Late Late Show with James Corden and CBS’ Sunday Morning. Even as the pandemic raged NEEDTOBREATHE continued to expand its fanbase, as evidenced by their 2020 album release, Out of Body. It received worldwide critical praise and debuted in the Top 5 of three Billboard Charts. CAVES is available to preorder in the record store & on our webstore here on LP & CD. All preorders placed for local pickup will include a wristband** for their album signing. (Space is limited. Wristbands are required for the signing and guarantee entrance to our event.)
**Each album preordered for local pickup comes with a wristband, such that one album preordered = one wristband, two albums preordered = two wristbands, etc. Space for our event is limited and a wristband guarantees entrance. (Kids 12 & under do not require wristbands.)
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is a paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. There is a police office who lives in the neighborhood across the street from the store and his driveway has been blocked by event attendees 3 times so far in 2023 (!!!) We do not want anger or disrespect any of our neighbors, especially not that one. DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS OR PARK IN UNAPPROVED ALLEY SPACES or you will be swiftly towed. (This is no fun at all.) Please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend this Grimey’s event.
