Nikki Lane Instore Performance & Record Release Celebration

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

Please join us on Friday, September 19th at 6:00 pm for a special full band in-store performance celebrating Nikki Lane’s new album, Denim & Diamonds. Though her album won’t officially be released until the 23rd via New West Records, it will be available at Grimey’s one week early for our in-store performance with Nikki! You can preorder autographed copies of Denim & Diamonds on limited edition opaque yellow vinyl, standard black vinyl, and CD from our webstore here, which will reserve a wristband for you to attend our event.

Dust & Diamonds was produced and mixed by Joshua Homme at his Pink Duck Studios in Burbank, CA and is Lane’s first album in five years. The recordings boast a diverse range of players thoughtfully tailored by Homme to nudge Lane further into the rock and roll space, including Homme, as well as his Queens of the Stone Age collaborators Alain Johannes on guitar, Dean Fertita on organ & Michael Shuman on bass. Additionally, the album features drummers Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys, Carla Azar of the acclaimed post-punk band Autolux (and frequent Jack White collaborator), and Lane’s pedal steel player Matthew Pynn (Dwight Yoakum, Miley Cyrus).

A Note on Wristbands + Preorders: Wristbands are free with preorders through Grimey’s and are required for all attendees 13+. One preorder purchased = one wristband. Wristbands are non-transferable. You can preorder Denim & Diamonds in the record shop as well as on our webstore here. If you live out of state but want to attend our event, please note the process explained on the preorder page and select local shipping for your preorder. Preorders for local pick up will be available at our event. All preorders will be autographed by Nikki Lane.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend Nikki’s record release celebration.
