Slider is a rock band from Nashville, TN. Founded in 2014, the band consists of vocalist and guitarist Mariah Schneider, guitarist Marcus Wanner, bassist Kyle Hanson, and drummer Caleb Powell. This powerful four-piece introduces a new sound to rock music, with an enormous variety of influences from driving alternative and punk rock to progressive rock, and stretching as far as jazz and pop. They list as influences a diverse array of artists from Paramore, Brandi Carlile and Halestorm to Rush, Dream Theater, Primus and John Coltrane. In fact Lzzy & Joe of Halestorm are special guest performers at Sliders' official album release show at The Basement on Saturday, October 26th. The new album is called Gravity Waves and will be available on CD and a limited run of vinyl.
