We hope you’ll make plans to join us at noon on Thursday, March 21st at 4:00 PM for a special Waxahatchee Listening Party! We’ll be spinning the new album, Tigers Blood, due out the following day via Anti- Records on limited edition “Tigers Blood” (Clear Red) colored vinyl and on CD. We’ll have party favors to give away at our event including exclusive merchandise, posters & more, plus one lucky attendee will score a limited edition test pressing signed by Katie Crutchfield herself! (Must be present to win, there is no cost to participate in our raffle. Party favors are available while supplies last.) This is a free & all ages shin-dig, so come one, come all!
Waxahatchee was formed in 2010 by Katie Crutchfield, who at the time was still performing music with her twin sister in the band P.S. Elliot. However, once their joint project dissolved Katie focused her writing efforts on her Waxahatchee project and has released several albums on indie labels Don Giovanni and Merge Records. She also started the band Plains with Jess Williamson, marking her first release on Anti- Records. On her new album, Crutchfield emerges as a powerhouse–an ethnologist of the self–forever dedicated to revisiting her wins and losses. But now she’s arriving at revelations and she ain’t holding them back. You can preorder your copy of Tigers Blood on our webstore here or pick one up in the shop at our party.
