New Releases
ALO - Frames LP (Brushfire)
The 10-song album boasts a seamless fusion of rock, electronic, alt-pop, R&B, folk, funk and a touch of subtle wit, played by an exceptional group of musicians - all of whom write and sing lead. When things may seem a bit dark, Frames offers a joyful escape by a band of life-long friends who became serious artists, who don't take themselves too seriously while creating some seriously well-crafted songs, including "Blank Canvas" which features a melodic guitar riff and easy-going vibe, and much-needed optimism. [Indie store exclusive neon jazzberry color vinyl.]
Anika - Abyss CD/LP (Sacred Bones)
Anika channels her frustration, anger, and confusion with the world into her third album, Abyss. Recorded live to tape at Berlin's legendary Hansa Studios, the album captures raw energy with minimal overdubs, resulting in a visceral and urgent 10-track journey fueled by intense emotions. The recording process, done in just a few days with a live band, emphasizes immediacy, offering a sound that's both physical and direct. Abyss reflects Anika's desire to create a space where people can unite and feel free to express themselves amidst the chaos of the world. With influences ranging from 90s grunge and Courtney Love to Patti Smith and Genesis P-Orridge, the album is driven by a rebellious spirit. [Cloudy clear vinyl pressing.]
Ant - Collection of Sounds Vol. 4 LP (Rhymesayers)
Legendary producer Ant, best known for his work with Atmosphere, proves once again how irreplaceable he is with Collection of Sounds: Vol. 4. This latest release showcases the lifetime of dedication behind his craft, blending his unparalleled skills with a fresh, expanded vision. With previous volumes in the Collection of Sounds series, Ant has traced his musical evolution, spanning hip-hop, funk, reggae and more, all influenced and inspired by extensive travel dating back to his youth. Vol. 4 deepens this exploration, introducing rock-inspired elements-guitars that wail, gnaw, and groove-while maintaining his signature sound. Despite these genre experiments, Vol. 4 is firmly grounded in hip-hop. [Limited edition blue vinyl.]
Babe Rainbow - Slipper Imp and Shakaerator LP (P(Doom) Records)
'Slipper imp and shakaerator' is a sun-soaked celebration of psychedelic acid-pop, infused with the laid-back magic of Australia's Gold Coast. A return to their roots, the album blends nostalgic riffs, shimmering '80s funk, flowing rhythms, and lysergic jams into an effortlessly joyful, homegrown album that's wild, radiant, and ready to be shared. [Indie store exclusive blue laguna color vinyl.]
Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong CD/LP (Ninja Tune)
Forever Howlong is Black Country, New Road's first studio release since 2022's UK #3 album Ants From Up There, which gave the band their second Top 5 UK album in 12 months alongside their Mercury Prize shortlisted debut For The First Time. The long-awaited album was produced by James Ford (Fontaines D.C., Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Blur) and sees Black Country, New Road settled into a new shape in which vocal duties - and most of the song writing - is split between Tyler Hyde, Georgia Ellery, and May Kershaw. Forever Howlong is an ambitious, meticulously detailed record that includes everything from folk to prog via baroque pop and touches of alt-rock - with nods to everything from Joanna Newsom to Randy Newman via Fiona Apple and Janis Ian - yet all the while retaining that unmistakably unique sound that only this combination of musicians can come up with. Although hugely varied and expansive, the album also feels deeply cohesive and focused, as it takes three distinct voices and styles and seamlessly intersperses them into a new collective sound. [Indie store exclusive 140gram eco-mix vinyl in Curious Matter Gatefold sleeve with 20-page booklet.]
Ethel Cain - Preacher’s Daughter CD/2xLP (Daughters of Cain)
The jaded daughter of a dead preacher-man caught in an exodus, Ethel Cain winds her way through a dizzying attempt at escape from her suffocating upbringing only to find herself crushed within it's jaws in the end. Hayden Anhedönia, the woman behind the curtain, serves as the architect for the visceral and haunting world of Ethel Cain. After over four years of meticulously constructing her debut album and the graphic visual world that accompanies it. [Available in both standard and indie store exclusive editions. Indie exclusive includes a poster and is limited to one per customer.]
Dirty Projectors / David Longstreth - Song of the Earth CD/2xLP (Nonesuch)
Song of the Earth is performed by singer/songwriter/composer/multi-instrumentalist, David Longstreth with members of his band Dirty Projectors-Felicia Douglass, Maia Friedman, Olga Bell-and the Berlin-based chamber orchestra s t a r g a z e. The album also features Phil Elverum (Mount Eerie), Steve Lacy, Patrick Shiroishi, Anastasia Coope, Tim Bernardes, Ayoni, Portraits of Tracy, and the author David Wallace-Wells. Longstreth wrote the first draft of Song of the Earth in six "manic" weeks for a commission arranged by s t a r g a z e, feeling disoriented, but also galvanized, by the moment he was in: the pandemic chaos, the "radical psychedelia" of new fatherhood, the novelty of writing for large ensemble. He then spent three years revising, rewriting, rearranging, and recording in studios and homes in the Netherlands, Los Angeles, and New York City. Song of the Earth marks Longstreth's biggest-yet foray into the field of concert music.
DJ Koze - Music Can Hear Us CD/2xLP (Pampa Records)
"Pure Love," featuring Damon Albarn, is the first single from DJ Koze's highly anticipated 2025 album Music Can Hear Us. The new long player, a follow-up to his worldwide hit album Knock Knock, which reached #7 in the German Album Charts and included the global dance hit "Pick Up.” [Limited edition magenta double vinyl.]
Djo - The Crux CD/LP (Twenty20)
Djo, the musical project of Joe Keery, returns with his third studio album, The Crux —a deeply reflective and sonically adventurous body of work. Following the massive success of his single “End of Beginning” which topped the Global Spotify chart and amassed over 1.5 billion streams worldwide, The Crux was crafted at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York. Drawing inspiration from the turbulence and growth of navigating one’s 20s, the album explores themes of self-discovery and connection, all wrapped in a narrative that serves as a love letter to those who matter most to Djo. Aptly titled The Crux, this album captures a moment suspended between the past and an undefined future.
Eraser - Hideout LP (Siltbreeze)
The quartet of Sonam Parikh, Pier Harrison Juliette Rando & Kat Bean are the glorious blood & guts behind Eraser. Much can be said of their paths to this apex, how these sounds coalesced , but who has the time? We are here, now, to speak of Eraser's debut release, 'Hideout', on Siltbreeze Records. First, let me ask that you are familiar with the golden age of Rough Trade? Then if so, you would immediately connect with the sound of Eraser, which twitches & gyrates in a mashup of Pere Ubu & Kleenex. And yet there is a distinct New York-meets-Berlin No Wave tension underlying the fun. Think The Static meets Mania D. Are you in or out?
And yet all of these are just luscious trajectories to lead you into the lair of Eraser's infective polygot of sound.
Craig Finn - Always Been CD/LP (Tamarac)
The Hold Steady's Craig Finn returns with Always Been, his first solo album since 2022. The album was produced by Finn's long time friend Adam Granduciel, the principal of The War on Drugs. Recorded throughout 2024 at One Cue Studio in Burbank, CA, Always Been features a host of musicians, including many of Granduciel's bandmates in The War on Drugs. Kathleen Edwards and Sam Fender provide guest vocals. The musical result is distinctive, purposeful, and commanding.
Florist - Jellywish CD/LP (Double Double Whammy)
The New York band’s fifth album drops the ambient textures of its self-titled predecessor, forging a folk wonderland touched by flourishes of robust instrumentalism and Emily Sprague’s deeply meditative, existential lyricism.
Frog Eyes - The Open Up LP (Paper Bag)
The room feels alive on The Open Up, the follow-up to 2022's The Bees and Frog Eyes' 10th studio album. Not only is it alive, but you're in it with the Victoria-formed indie rock institution as they perform the 10-track opus live off the floor. There's an intimacy - a humanity - with which these uneasy songs take hold, sometimes facing the world with little more than singer-guitarist Casey Mercer's wiry warble, sticking to a staccato syllable like a hiccup, and a pins-and-needles post-punk guitar progression.
Hyldon + Adrian Younge - Jazz Is Dead 23 LP (Jazz Is Dead)
Hyldon, Brazil's highly revered vocalist, musician and producer, has partnered with Adrian Younge to create a new psychedelic soul album, HYLDON JID023. The duo, highly inspired by Hyldon's seminal work in the '60s and '70s, revisits' the spirit of this epoch while creating a modern-day classic. Hyldon's unique voice and lyrical depth, combined with Younge's innovative analog production, ensures this album will not be forgotten. JID023 is one of the last recordings featuring Hyldon's long-time collaborator and friend, the late drummer Ivan "Mamao" Conti of Azymuth.
Elton John & Brandi Carlile - Who Believes In Angels? CD/LP (Interscope)
Written and recorded over 20 days, 'Who Believes In Angels?' is a collaborative studio album between Elton John and Brandi Carlile. It mixes Elton-led songs and Brandi-led songs, with long-term collaborator Bernie Taupin and Brandi both contributing lyrics, and producer and co-writer Andrew Watt acting as the producer, mediator and creative conduit. They are backed by a world-class band of musicians comprising of Chad Smith, Pino Palladino and Josh Klinghoffer. [Indie store exclusive pink swirl vinyl.]
Will Johnson - Diamond City color vinyl CD/LP (Keeled Scales)
Will Johnson is an understated legend of the American indie folk rock scene, not only for his own bands but also for his collaborative nature and his a bit of it in to ensembles such as Monsters of Folk, New Multitudes and, currently, Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit. He is, as they say, "Your favorite musician’s favorite musician. This is Will Johnson's 9th solo album.
Knox - Going Going Gone CD/LP (Atlantic)
Hailed by Billboard for his "witty songwriting," Knox crafts anthems powered up by a hands-on D.I.Y. approach, alternative adventurousness, and unassuming pop rock ambition. A few years back, he wholeheartedly devoted himself to music. His debut How to Lose a Girl in 7 Songs EP yielded the breakout "Sneakers." On it's heels, "Not The 1975," cracked the Top 20 at Top 40 radio and Top 10 at Hot AC. He’s collaborated with everyone from HARDY and Bilmuri to Rosie. With all of this momentum, it's no wonder Billboard professed, "After a breakthrough 2024, Knox is not slowing down just yet," and Digital High christened him "one of the pop scene's bigger surprises." In 2025, he levels up again with the release of his full-length debut album, Going Going Gone, and the launch of his biggest U.S. headline run to date-the Going Going Gone Tour. By breaking boundaries, Knox is breaking through on his own terms. [Limited edition white vinyl.]
L.A. Witch - Doggod LP (Suicide Squeeze)
L.A. Witch have always exuded an aura of effortless cool, whether it manifested as the Americana noir and laconic back-to-basics rock n' roll of their self-titled debut or the blistering austere adventurism of their sophomore album Play With Fire. The band-comprised of Sade Sanchez (guitar/vocals), Irita Pai (bass), and Ellie English (drums)-began as an informal affair, but the sultry and beguiling reverb-draped songs they created caught on with the public, moving the project beyond the insular space of the band's friends and peers in Southern California into the broader world. On their latest album, DOGGOD, the trio push their craft beyond their previous creative and geographical confines, opting to craft the material in Paris, recording the tracks at Motorbass Studio on the Rue de Martyrs. DOGGOD explores broader swaths of sonic terrain, employs a greater arsenal of tones, and probes larger existential and cosmic themes, all while retaining the band's signature sense of the forbidden, the forsaken, and the foreboding. [Limited edition clear vinyl.]
Lily Seabird - Trash Mountain LP (Lame-O)
Trash Mountain, Lily Seabird's new LP, is her most searching and immediate effort to date. Over nine delicate but sturdy tracks of intimate folk rock, she pares her songwriting down to it's most resonant essentials. There's not a second wasted as she sings of loss, growing up, and finding your center when things get overwhelming. It's an album of unwelcome exits and uncertain futures, but there's resiliency and hope at it's core. Recorded with producer Kevin Copeland (Hannah Frances, Lightning Bug, Allegra Krieger), it's a testament to finding joy and connection in life's chaos and confusion. [Limited edition pink vinyl.]
Momma - Welcome to My Blue Sky LP (Polyvinyl)
Like so many coming-of-age stories that leave a long-lasting impact, Momma’s new album Welcome to My Blue Sky takes place during a charmed and turbulent summer—a transformative moment in time that co-founders Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten sum up as a period of “parallel chaos.” Over the course of 12 immaculately composed yet immediately potent songs, the Brooklyn-based band’s fourth LP documents all the life-altering upheaval the two singer/songwriter/guitarists experienced during a whirlwind mid-2022 tour, infusing each track with both unsparing self-awareness and immense sensitivity.
Rosettes - Lifestyles LP (Timmion)
Rosettes are finally here with their debut album on Timmion Records, Lifestyles, a compelling journey into psychedelic soul, jazzy funk, and introspective grooves. For the listener, it creates an experience that manages to be both sophisticated and raw to the bone. Expanding on the sound they refined with their previous singles, this 10-track album captures the group in top form while crafting intoxicating sonic potions that pull you in.
Scowl - Are We All Angels CS/LP (Dead Oceans)
Scowl is a band that sounds exactly like their name implies. Venomous, fierce, antagonistic. A sneer not to be crossed. Over the last five years, the Santa Cruz, California, band has firmly planted their flag in the hardcore scene with their vicious sound and ripping live show, sharing stages around the world with Circle Jerks, Touché Amoré, and Limp Bizkit, and filling slots at prominent festivals like Coachella, Sick New World, and Reading and Leeds. But with their new album, Are We All Angels (Dead Oceans), Scowl is aiming to funnel all that aggression through a more expansive version of themselves. Much of Are We All Angels grapples with Scowl's newfound place in the hardcore scene, a community which has both embraced the band and made them something of a lightning rod over the past few years. [Limited edition olive green vinyl.]
St. Lucia - Fata Morgana: Dawn LP (Nettwerk)
When it comes to Fata Morgana, you've never heard St. Lucia like this before. The fifth album from Jean-Philip Grobler's long-running alt-pop project with his wife Patti Beranek expands the band's sound in massive and widescreen fashion-encompassing psychedelic pop, the gritty pre-'80s dance music of the NYC punk-rock scene, the cinematic sweep of classic film scores, and much more. As a band, St. Lucia have always been focused on taking their listeners on a journey, and Fata Morgana is unquestionably the headiest trip they've cooked up yet. [Limited edition red vinyl.]
Snapped Ankles - Hard Times Furious Dancing CD/LP (Leaf)
Snapped Ankles have given up trying to make sense of it all. The forest only offers so much protection. Feeding on a diet of fractured narratives, meme culture, viral moments and the very worst of human impulses weighs heavy. The only sane response is to dance. Make your way to the clearing, gather around the megalith of speakers, drum machines, amps and synthesizers and dance like there's no tomorrow. Hard Times Furious Dancing is an invitation to all those lost in the unrelenting noise of the present, to leave it all behind and come together in the forest. Driven by the primitive thrust of their single-oscillator 'log' synths, high and low culture collide in a surreal, free flowing narrative - but the rhythm is universal. This is easily the closest Snapped Ankles have come to capturing their rapturous live energy in the studio. [Indie exclusive Don Quixote's Green vinyl pressing.]
Stella - Adagio LP (Sub Pop)
Borrowing it's name from the term for music that's meant to be played slowly, Adagio is a pop record that feels like a very warm blanket, it's nylon-string guitars and featherlight percussion swaddling it's listeners for three minutes at a time. Written and recorded over the span of five years, with a consortium of international collaborators including !!!'s Rafael Cohen and British songwriter Gabriel Stebbing, Adagio is a 27-minute meditation on love and desire, rest and time. Though the bulk of it is sung in English, Stella delivers her first two songs in Greek, her native tongue. [Limited edition pink vinyl.]
Tokimonsta - Eternal Reverie 2xLP (Young Art)
Debut full-length from Tokimonsta, featuring long-time collaborator Anderson.Paak and rising neo-soul singer and rapper Rae Khalil. [Limited edition winter green vinyl.]
The Waterboys - Life Death and Dennis Hopper CD/2xLP (Sun Records)

Deeply conceptual, this album of all original songs brings together high-profile featured artists like Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple, and Steve Earle to musically weave through Hopper's life, including a song for each of Hopper's wives. [Indie store exclusive ‘psychedelic waves’ color vinyl.]
Marlon Williams - Te Whare Tiwekaweka LP (Marlon Williams)
"Ko te reo Māori, he matapihi ki te ao Māori" goes the Māori whakatauki (proverb) that has guided Aotearoa singer/songwriter Marlon Williams'(Kāi Tahu, Ngāi Tai) fourth solo album, Te Whare Tīwekaweka. Translated, it means "The Māori language is a window to the Māori world" and expresses Marlon's motivation behind his first te reo Māori album. "Through the process of constructing these songs," Marlon says, "I've found a means of expressing my joys, sorrows and humour in a way that feels both distinctly new yet also connects me to my tīpuna [ancestors] and my whenua [land, home]." Connection lies at the heart of Te Whare Tīwekaweka, the album's five-year process reconnecting Marlon to family, friends and his home town of Lyttelton after a globe-trotting decade establishing his career. The album signifies another step in Marlon's journey with his ancestral tongue, his ability in the language developing as the songs accumulated in the hours spent with close friend and co-writer, rapper KOMMI. The language unlocked both a newfound lyrical honesty and a grand sonic vision. Supported by long-time touring band The Yarra Benders, co-producer Mark Perkins (Te Whānau-ā-Apanui), the He Waka Kōtuia singers and featuring a collaboration with pop star Lorde, the album traverses Marlon's familiar folk-country-bluegrass territory, while continuing his exploration of poppier waters and the inherent rhythms of Māori music. The result is a collection at once ontemporary and timeless. [Limited edition white vinyl.]
Young Widows - Power Sucker CD/LP (Temporary Residence)
The Young Widows sound - or more accurately, the Young Widows feel - is in full battering ram motion on their fifth studio album. The heaviness of Power Sucker isn't mysterious. The Louisville, Kentucky power trio play their individual parts with such recognizable precision and style that once entwined together each completed piece becomes an integral part of the puzzle. The sizzling guitars, growling bass, and lock-tight drums rip through the pavement that Young Widows had previously laid to allow the most forward-moving vocal arrangements of their now two-decade career. Historical accomplishments aside, Power Sucker has the shock and wonder of a new band's debut album. [Metallic silver with opaque blue swirl vinyl pressing.]
