He’ll be in town for AmericanaFest and will be hanging out with us for a special conversation with award winning producer Frank Liddell‍, who worked with Taupin on his upcoming album, The Sea Has No Mercy. Though it doesn’t drop until October 23rd, Taupin & Liddell will chat about the songwriting and recording process that went into making the new record. After this discussion Taupin will sign The Sea Has No Mercy art prints for attendees as well as records and copies of his memoir, Scattershot. The Sea Has No Mercy is available to preorder now on vinyl and CD. Those who preorder a copy of the album will receive a signing wristband with their preorder as well as an art print that will be available to pickup and get signed at our event. Wristbands are required for the signing for all 13+ and guarantee entrance. (Wristbands are not required for kids 12 & under if attending with a wristband-holding adult.) The Sea Has No Mercy is Bernie Taupin’s first-ever entirely self-written album and his most personal work to date. Due out October 23rd, Bernie Taupin’s The Sea Has No Mercy is available to preorder here on vinyl and CD. Art prints & wristbands may be picked up at Grimey’s on Friday, September 18th, the day of our event with Bernie Taupin. Copies of The Sea Has No Mercy will be available for local pickup starting on Friday, 10/23. Copies of The Sea Has No Mercy preordered for mail order will ship out from Grimey’s starting on or by Friday, 10/23.

Preorders are limited to a total of two total (2) per customer / household. For each album preordered, you’ll receive a wristband + an art print such that 1 LP preordered = 1 wristband + 1 art print, 2 CDs preordered = 2 wristbands + 2 art prints. All who place preorders in advance will receive an email with preorder pickup and event details on or by the day before our Bernie Taupin event.
