Preorder Neal Casal’s No One Above You (The Early Years 1991-1998), due out Friday, September 12th via Royal Potato Family Records on limited edition green colored vinyl, standard black vinyl, and CD. The album benefits the Neal Casal Music Foundation, a non-profit that donates musical instruments and lessons to students in New Jersey and New York state schools, and supports much needed mental health organizations that assist musicians in need.

Neal Casal was a revered singer/songwriter whose ten solo albums are widely regarded as classics in the roots and Americana music canon. He was also a celebrated guitarist and consummate collaborator who could be found playing alongside artists ranging from Willie Nelson to Shooter Jennings, The Jayhawks to Phil Lesh. More than a sideman, he was a bandmate and an integral part of the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Gospelbeach, Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, Beachwood Sparks, Hard Working Americans, The Skiffle Players and Circles Around The Sun. His tragic passing in 2019 left a hole in the hearts of fans and friends alike, leaving many looking for a few more moments from the prolific artist.

A new collection of mostly unreleased early studio recordings and demos, No One Above You (The Early Years 1991-1998), issued in tandem with a book of rare and unseen photographs, No One Above You (Christy Coleman + Neal Casal - A Love Story In Photographs), compiled by his former wife Christy Coleman, provide just that, offering an intimate look at Casal’s formative years, creatively and personally.

Produced by Neal along with his longtime manager Gary Waldman, Grammy Award-winning engineer Jim Scott and former Cardinals' bandmate Jon Graboff, the tapes were digitally restored with subtle additions added by musicians including John Ginty, Dan Fadel, Angie McKenna, Jeff Hill, Graboff, Alex Koford and others.

As an archival document, No One Above You (The Early Years 1991-1998) offers a peak behind the curtain in the halcyon days of a fledgling artist coming into his own before reaching full flight through a revered body of work both as a solo artist and highly sought after collaborator.

No One Above You is available to preorder here on 180-gram classic black vinyl and limited edition 180-gram marble green vinyl with gatefold jacket, extensive liner notes and previously unpublished photos.

Preorders are limited to two (2) per format, per customer / household. For each album preordered, you’ll receive one wristband such that two LPs preordered = two wristbands, one CD preordered = one wristband, etc. Wristbands guarantee entrance to our event. All who place preorders in advance will also receive an email with preorder pickup and event details on or by the day before the event.

Preorders placed for local, event pickup will be available on release day which is also the day of our Neal Casal tribute event, Friday September 12th. Please be on the lookout for an email detailing preorder pickup and run of event to be sent on or by Thursday, September 11th.
