John Prine - Storm Windows
John Prine - Storm Windows
Two-time Grammy-winner, singer-songwriter, John Prine, is among the English language's premier phrase-turners. Forty-five years into a remarkable career that has drawn effusive praise from Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt, Roger Waters, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and others who would know, Prine is a smiling, shuffling force for good. He is a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member whose classic debut album, simply titled John Prine, is recognized as part of the Recording Academy's Grammy Hall of Fame. Storm Windows is the seventh album by American folk singer and songwriter John Prine, released in 1980. It was his last release on a major label (he joined Al Bunetta & Dan Einstein to form Oh Boy Records on which all his subsequent recordings were released). Storm Windows was produced by Barry Beckett (Paul Simon and Bob Dylan) and was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Sheffield, Alabama. Released on 1/29/2021 by Rhino Records as a part of their Start Your Ear Off Right limited edition reissue series.
