Sharp Pins is the super solid lo-fi noise pop project of talented Chicago musician Kai Slater of Lifeguard and Dwaal Troupe. Their album, Radio DDR, was originally released at home as a Hallogallo tape. It was written and recorded by Kai Slater April and May 2024, except for “Race for the Audience,” which was recorded in November 2023 at old Stulo and “You Have a Way,” which was recorded by the whole band: Kai Slater, Joe Glass, and Peter Cimbalo. The album was mastered by Jonny Bell and Amy Dragon; Amy Dragon also mastered the album for vinyl. The LP includes three additional tracks not included on the original cassette release.
