Our patron saint Taylor Swift has recorded a new album, folklore, her eight full length studio record, coming less than a year after her 2019 release Lover. The album was written and recorded in isolation during the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, with production from Aaron Dessner (The National), Jack Antonoff (Fun. and Bleachers) and Swift herself. Departing from the mainstream pop sound of Swift's previous three albums, folklore incorporates indie folk, electro-folk and chamber pop sounds and is driven by pianos and guitars. Described by Swift as "a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness" rising out of her imagination during isolation. folklore is available here on CD and beige colored vinyl.
