Be Your Own Pet is back! After a lengthy hiatus the band is together again, writing songs and playing shows locally, nationally, and internationally. The Nashville, Tennessee, garage rock group formed as teenagers, initially releasing music on a scrappy local label, Infinity Cat; they went on to be signed to the prestigious XL Records in the UK and Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label in the US, with whom they released two widely acclaimed albums. At the time they toured with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Sonic Youth, Le Tigre etc and have since been cited as influences for groups such as Paramore and Big Joanie.

BYOP’s 2023 album, Mommy, was released Friday, August 25th via Third Man Records and it is available to order here on limited edition indie exclusive “Living Dead Green” colored vinyl (featuring alternate cover art) and on CD.
