We hope you’ll make plans to join us on Wednesday, September 27th for a special stop on Shain Shapiro’s book tour! We’ll be hosting Shapiro for a reading & siging plus he’ll be joined by a few friends with whom he will discuss his new book, This Must Be The Place: How Music Can Make Your City Better. For the occasion Shapiro will be joined by Chris Cobb (Music Venues Alliance Nashville), Marcia Masulla (Roar Nashville), and Tom Truitt (TurnkeyZRG) for what will no doubt be an insightful and interesting conversation centered around real experiences here in Music City USA. Copies of This Must Be The Place will be available for purchase in the store starting Tuesday, September 12th and can be preordered in the shop or on our webstore here now.
Let us know you’re coming out to our event by RSVPing for our event here.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is a paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. There is a police office who lives in the neighborhood across the street from the store and his driveway has been blocked by event attendees 3 times so far in 2023 (!!!) We do not want anger or disrespect any of our neighbors, especially not that one. DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS OR PARK IN UNAPPROVED ALLEY SPACES or you will be swiftly towed. (This is no fun at all.) Please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend this Grimey’s event.
