Rayland Baxter has spent much of his career chasing clarity, but his newest record, True Violet, feels like the first time he's truly found it. His 2022 album If I Were A Butterfly evoked transformation, but in Baxter's own view, True Violet is the record where the true metamorphosis has unfolded. Catalyzed less by a sudden realization than by hard-earned understanding, True Violet is a record about the slow, steady process of becoming someone new. It's about looking in the mirror, taking responsibility for your own life, and sitting with difficult emotions instead of trying to outrun them.

Officially out October 23rd via ATO Records, True Violet is available to preorder here on on vinyl & CD. Preorder a copy for local pickup to score a wristband for Rayland’s album signing and guaranteeing your spot in the shop for his instore performance. For each album preordered you’ll receive one wristband such that 1 LP preorder = 1 wristband, 2 CD preorders = 2 wristbands, etc. Preorders + wristbands may be claimed at Grimey’s on Thursday, October 22nd, the day of our event with Rayland Baxter.

Preorders are limited to a total of four total (4) per customer / household. All who place preorders in advance will receive an email with preorder pickup and event details on or by the day before our Rayland Baxter event.

*Preorders for store pickup will be held for three months after release date. Please pick up your True Violet preorder no later than January 22nd.
