Preorder Cecilia Castleman’s “Can’t Escape A Broken Heart” single, featuring Benjamin Francis Leftwich, due out on Saturday, June 1st on limited edition, hand-pressed lathe-cut “broken heart” vinyl. The single is hand-numbered and exclusively available at Grimey’s. Please make plans to join us in the record shop on Saturday, 6/1, at 5:00 PM for a special acoustic performance by Castleman and Leftwich, after which they’ll be signing copies of the single for event attendees. All who preorder for local pickup will receive a wristband for our signing with the artists after their performance. Nashville-based singer-songwriter Cecilia Castleman is due to drop her new single, “Can’t Escape A Broken Heart,” on Friday, May 31st. Written and performed as a duet with acclaimed Dirty Hit artist Benjamin Francis Leftwich, the song weaves a heart wrenching, highly-relatable narrative of first love. It will be availabe for purchase and streaming in all the usual spots, but will exclusively be available for purchase on vinyl at Grimey’s.

“Can’t Escape A Broken Heart” was co-written over zoom in 2021, and finished off when Benjamin visited Nashville in 2023 to finish off the track in the studio, where it was decided that he would also perform on the single. This song comes after Castleman’s impressive breakthrough, sharing stages with some of the most respected names in music including the likes of Hozier, Teskey Brothers, Inhaler, Sheryl Crow, and Melissa Etheridge. Castleman is active on social media where millions have viewed her impeccable guitar playing, drawing praise from none other than John Mayer himself and evidenced by her inclusion in Fender Next's Class of 2023.

Each customer who preorders a copy of ​“Can’t Escape A Broken Heart” for local, store pickup will receive one wristband per single preordered when they pick up their record(s) in the shop. One vinyl preordered = one wristband, two vinyl preordered = two wristbands, etc. Each order is limited to a total of four (4) singles per customer. Wristbands are required to participate in our post-performance signing (for all 13 +).
